We Get Back Into The Swing Of Things At Home

Janet's being Mrs. Crabby Pants because she doesn't want summer to end.  We are also summertime fans, but unlike Janet, we are going to take in our stride.  We are getting used to being back at home and word on the street is that we will be going back to Camp USA soon so certain people can go on vacation.  This year they have decided to mix it up and go for something really different - they are going to the UK!  Do you believe it?

We went for a walk along Bowker Creek to see how the restoration was coming along.  I was off my leash and decided it was time to let those cheeky ducks know that we were tired of them mocking us when we walk by on leash.  Actually, I was still on my now filthy leash, but nobody was holding it.

No worries, Janet.  Do you see any ducks in sight?  They will know to fear me, next time we swing by.
In March, Janet ordered a quilt kit from Craftsy.com.  She pulled it out this week to take a look at the pattern and get started on it.  She was shocked to find out that some of the fabric was missing.  After emailing Craftsy, they responded saying the missing fabric was in the post.  Janet was even more shocked!
Thus far, Janet says this is her favourite quilt.  The photo doesn't do it justice, but the background fabric is kind of a caramel colour.
Food!  The people had Cobb Salad.
Janet even made the Blue Cheese Dressing!
On Oak Bay Avenue, there is a new shop that has been there a couple of years.  It's called The Whole Beast and they process all their own bacon, sausages and sliced meat.  Phil went and purchased a selection along with some Fol Epi bread.

Delicious sandwiches.
One of Janet and Phil's new favourite restaurant is The Next.  It's a Japanese restaurant and they go for cooked Japanese food as they have a favourite sushi shop.  Check out what they had - in addition to the food and wine, Janet had Crab Soda to mix with her wine!
Mr. No Longer A Baby was dining and facetiming at the same time.  He was shoveling pineapple (likely the cans he stole from our house!) and said, "look Yaya...it's a big one!"
Look what Janet found three weeks after M + D + F left?  Wonder who put this little set up in the cupboard?
Correction Notification!  Previously Janet mentioned that Meg and Raeleigh were 40 years old.   This is incorrect!  Meg is 40.5 years old and Raeleigh is only 39 years old.  Janet really wishes someone would mistake her for being 40 years old!

We are pooped!  It's been a tough day.
