Just when we thought it was about time for them to come home from Banana and Ted's wedding, what do they do?  They go to Chicago!  Good thing Dean is so good to us, otherwise we might put up a fuss.

Here is a sample of what they did. After they arrived at O'Hare Airport, they purchased a 3 day travel card for all the buses and trains in the city for $14 each.  Phil dug deep inside for his inner cheapness (it's not actually that big of a dig) and said no taxi rides for us!

After checking into their hotel, they set out exploring.
Phil is waiting to take the train.
They rode the train and went past the street named after Rockers:
They looked everywhere, but couldn't find a street named after me.
Yummy

They loved this Italian restaurant.
They went to two museums, took the River Architecture Cruise and went to Oak Park to look at the Frank Lloyd Wright houses.  All the time they were there, Janet wanted to rent bikes and ride on the lakeshore.  By the time Phil grudgingly agreed to go, the weather was too miserable and he cleverly left it so late, there wasn't enough time.  So, instead, they set off on a huge walk that took them through many really nice residential areas and ended up at Lincoln Park.  They didn't go into the Zoo, but there is a portion of the Zoo called The Farm at the Zoo.

Look!
This cute guy is trying to eat the toggle on Janet's jacket!

Let me out!  It takes 2 - 6 hours for a baby chick to break out of the shell.  After, they lie down to rest up.  Within a couple hours, they are all fluffy and able to walk and eat.

Fluffiness abounds.  We like the little guy in the back who is all snuggled in and warm.
Janet was so happy about the farm animals she said it made up for not going on the bike ride.  After this, they went back to the hotel to pack up and take the train back to the airport.  Despite allowing lots of time, the airport was a zoo - no pun intended!   Janet and Phil are very tech savvy, they used the kiosk to print off their boarding passes.
They stood and watched as the machine said "printing one of two for Janet Illingworth".  They grabbed the two and then proceeded to the horrific line for security.  After being in line for a long time, a very astute TSA man noticed that both Janet and Phil had boarding passes that had only Janet's name on them.  Do you believe these two?  They left Phil's boarding passes in the kiosk!  It was nothing short of a shock to us that Dean wasn't named our permanent guardian as it appeared dicey if these imbeciles could pull off  the trip home!
